rabb1t's Nvidia GeForce LAN 6 coverage

Nvidia GeForce LAN 6 took place between October 14th and 16th, 2011, in Alameda on the USS Hornet, an officially recognized haunted ship. (Sadly, due to not being able to lock up my stuff, I was not able to attend a night tour.) There were more than 600 gamer peeps there, and that's not including staff for the event or exhibitors! It was super crazy fun. There was a lot of excitement and energy everywhere. I only went for a general admission ticket, which meant I wasn't allowed food, or certain other event access. It turns out that I wound up staying more than just the half-dozen hours I expected, as my car at the time died upon arrival, so I was stranded there. I tried to find a ride back to my 'home area' from 7 PM on, but didn't actually get a ride until about 4 PM the next day.

Special thanks to Victoria (from Nvidia) for resucing me and bringing me back to my 'home area'. Lots of Nvidia peeps and others were keeping an eye out for a ride for me, so that was nice to hear.

The exhibitor area where you can check out the different vendors, play some games, and see presentations. This video was shot on Sunday, so most of the excitement about the booths had died down. This is a clearer shot due to lack of the crowd.

Museum area, more exhibitors, BYOC 1, and the Battlefield 3 Tournament area

This is the first section when you move into the BYOC area. The exhibitor area is behind you. This pans from left to right showing the USS Hornet museum, an Nvidia store, more exhibitors, the first BYOC section, and the Battlefield 3 Tournament area.

More exhibitors, BYOC, and the Battlefield 3 Tournament area

This is sort of in the middle of the LAN event, showing the exhibitors who are just past the store, the middle BYOC section, and pans back over the Battlefield 3 Tournament area.

BYOC 3 panning back to BYOC 2

This is the final and largest BYOC section. I wasn’t allowed entry to film ‘deeper’ in the section, but you can see most of the section going all the way back to the end of the boat. This also pans back over the middle BYOC section.
