Week 831
Day 5811 - 5/29 - No VPN required
Today I am still so very tired. I had a pretty relaxing day though, so that was nice. I did find out some very good news. Last week at the library for several days there were some techs there with large spools of network cable. They were pushing it through and pulling it out where the existing connections were. I still don't know if it was replacing the existing cable or adding to it. I never saw anything removed. But I remember the routers looked different, so today when I played a game which previously required a VPN to play online I decided not to turn it on. And to my surprise I connected to the game fine, things while soloing looked fine, and so I got into a group for an hour and that played fine. So my shooter that gets an expansion in 7 days no longer needs the VPN to play. Which is super good news as it is a huge cost for unlimited time, but if I don't need to pay for that then that's money I don't have to spend. Normally my free use is enough to play something like 15 hours a week, which is plenty when I was staying on school campus most of the time. But since I'm not really playing there anymore because the connection is too garbage to use, with the new expansion coming I was worried I'll likely play closer to 25-30 hours a week (if I really get into it.) And too summer break is coming up adding more free time, so that's good I seem free to play whatever without needing the VPN.
No real news other than that. I played a couple of games, sniffled and sneezed quite a bit, and watched a few shows, and that was my day.
Day 5812 - 5/30 - Good, but tired
Today was pretty good. Class was pretty low key, but when we got to the lab part I did a super good start on this week's homework. I was surprised it turned out so good and was nearly done. I think because this time I spent a bit of extra time planning out timing of things and carefully checking as I went. I think it was only about an hour more at the library and then I was done.
Other than that the day was pretty quick. Outside was pretty warm, so that was nice. But I am still so very tired.
Day 5813 - 5/31 - Closing the old
Today was ok. I did a bit of different stuff, as I spent a lot of the day clearing out the old MMO dlc content. I had a very hard time getting into it a few months ago when it was new as I just kind of got stuck pretty near the start and kind of lost interest. But the new expansion comes out next week, so I'm pushing this weekend to close everything out from the previous content.
Other than that it was a pretty regular day. My tummy was a bit more upset than usual at my hot dog food, but I think it was probably more the combination of chips (which I don't usually eat) and a snack (of candy I normally only eat a few times during the year.) It seems pretty warm again outside, but as usual the library was pretty freezing. But overall I guess it was a pretty ok day.
Day 5814 - 6/1 - Cold dreams
Today I must have had a colder night because my dreams were pretty weird. There was something about cold rain, or maybe snow, I can't remember now. It is still a bit warmer now in the evening. Probably barely into the 70s.
I guess today was pretty good. I close out my previous dlc content in my MMO, so that is all caught up to just worry about the new content. And I'm messing around with closing some stuff on an alt (I never use) in my shooter, so that should be ready too.
But that is really the day. Besides being freezing in the library it was a pretty regular day.
Day 5815 - 6/2 - Pretty good
Today was pretty good. I didn't really do anything special, just continued getting stuff done in my MMO before the new expansion, and doing stuff on an alt for my shooter. I'm pretty much caught up on both, which is good as I can't play my shooter tomorrow due to maintenance. I got pretty good sleep, though I'm still overly tired. The weather still continues to move towards rain more than clear skies, but it will likely clear pretty quickly.
Day 5816 - 6/3 - Maybe site update
Today I don't have much to do. I'm current with classes and gaming stuff. I may actually take a look at my PC stuff on my site. It feels like forever since I've updated, probably just before the end of the year. I don't really think any tech has changed, but a few recommendations may. The main company I use for keyboards and mice (and gaming headsets) is getting stupid with prices and not targeting mainstream gamers anymore, so I will likely move recommendations away from them as time goes on. I may have my MMO expansion to start today, I'm not sure exactly when it starts.
Day 5817 - 6/4 - Big shooter day
Today will hopefully be a big important day for my shooter. There is a big expansion coming out, so that is very exciting. However, historically they have not been great with getting the servers back up on time, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was some wobbliness and I lost a few to several hours to that.

Day 5818 - 6/5 - All new
Today was pretty fun. Both my MMO and my shooter have new expansions that released this week, so everything I did was new. Because of that the day went very quickly and was very fun.
It's still kind of hot outside. I've been in my car just a few minutes, with the windows down, and I'm almost sweating. Of course, as always, the library was freezing and I was barely warm enough with pretty much winter layers on. I'm very tired though. Some extra noise has kept me up and I've lost sleep the past few nights.
Day 5819 - 6/6 - Fun, but quick
Today was a fun, but quick day. There was class in the morning, so that was the first half of the day. Then for the rest of my time I had a compressed session of my MMO and shooter play times. I got a pretty solid start on the homework for the week. I'm probably half way through the required part. I'd say the rest would be less than an hour. Then I'll probably do something that may take an hour or so more time for fun. I won't spend too much time on it. But all in all I guess today was pretty good.
Day 5820 - 6/7 - Fun, but tired
Today I had a lot of fun, but I am pretty tired. I got about 8 hours of good sleep, which is kind of what I should get normally, but lately I've only been getting like 6 to 7. But when I woke up it was an hour before my alarm, so I could have gotten almost 2 hours more of sleep, so that was very sad that I didn't.
I did have fun today. I did some important stuff in my MMO. And while I was kind of getting frustrated with my shooter I'm doing the new quests on the hardest difficulty. While I didn't get as far as I'd hoped I think I am on the last boss fight, so hopefully I can finish the campaign and start doing the regular stuff tomorrow.
Day 5821 - 6/8 - Shooter day
Today I mostly played my shooter. I did do some quest stuff in my MMO in the morning, but that time passed quickly. I guess it was probably 1/3 of my play time and 2/3 was the shooter. It did take all of that time, but I did finally beat the last boss that I got stuck on yesterday. I will probably play a bit more of my MMO now since I'm at the 'regular' part of the shooter's new content. I'll be doing that stuff for months really, so no rush now.
I'm still very tired and the weather seems to be cooling down a bit.
Day 5822 - 6/9 - Odd day
Today I was very cold in the library. I don't know why but I'm always super freezing there lately. I was basically shivering and left a bit early because of it.
I had a pretty fun day though. I didn't do as much in my MMO as I thought I would. I was very tired from losing 4 hours of sleep last night, so I was meandering around before I started playing. I tried to do special things in my shooter, but I also didn't get as far with that as I thought I might.
I guess it's ok. It was a pretty ok day other than that.
Day 5823 - 6/10 - Hopefully catching up
Today I am hopefully catching up on sleep and getting balanced. Hopefully I won't be too cold in the library. And if I haven't finished my homework by today hopefully I will. It's been meh, so I haven't been as excite about finishing it as others.
Day 5824 - 6/11 - Supposedly extreme heat
Today is supposed to be extremely hot with heat over 90F. Which feels a bit strange since there was a really cold wind on Sunday. Hopefully today will be calm, quiet, and I will be warm enough.
